Each guest makes its own Port blend, creating a wine to his image. The wine will then be labelled. In the end, there will be an election of the best blend.

A sophisticated and innovative project born in the vineyards, mixing with and transforming itself into landscape, through the metamorphosis of the materials used, like the schist and the cork, that follow the colours and the state of mind of each season of the year.
The schist and the cork are the skin of a fascinating structure, with an implantation area of 2,051.5m2 and a building area of 4,722.25m2 of concrete and steel, where the Port and Douro wines of Quinta do Portal will be slowly aged, in a temple that honours the Wine and the Time.
This new building will become a new tourist attraction for the Douro, with Visitors Centre, Auditorium and Tasting room. This is an innovative complement to the touristic offer already in place at Quinta do Portal. In fact the guest house - Casa das Pipas - has been awarded the best of Wine Tourism both in 2007 (accommodation category) and 2008 (sustainable practices category).
The “Portal” on the rooftop of the new building, is no more than an invitation for the discovery of the flavours and aromas of Quinta do Portal and to the wonderful kingdom of the Douro…
At Quinta do Portal auditorium, located in the cellars building, we have ideal conditions to organize a diversity of events like company meetings, team-building weekends, conferences, new product showcases, cultural events, etc.
Our auditorium has a 74 person seating capacity.

- Follow A4 direction Vila Real
- After passing Vila Real, get into A24 direction Viseu
- Leave A24 on exit 13 and follow towards Sabrosa
- When arriving in Sabrosa turn right direction Pinhão
- Quinta do Portal will be on your left, just after passing Celeirós do Douro
BY CAR FROM LISBON
- Follow A1 direction Norte
- Leave to A25 direction Viseu
- Leave to A24 direction Vila Real - Leave A24 on exit 13 and follow towards Sabrosa
- When arriving in Sabrosa turn right direction Pinhão
- Quinta do Portal will be on your left, just after passing Celeirós do Douro
BY BOAT
The boat trip up the river from Porto is an incredible experience.
To visit Quinta do Portal you shall dock the boat in Pinhão and then get on a 15 minute taxi ride to reach us.
BY TRAIN
This is definitely one of the most beautiful ways to get to the Douro wine region. Get on the "Linha do Douro" train in Porto and enjoy the landscape (you must seat on the right side of the train!) until you reach Pinhão, your final stop, where you must enjoy the beautiful tiles on the station.
Then just jump for a 15 minute taxi ride to Quinta do Portal.
