With a beautiful pale amber colour, it has aromas of pear and green apples in perfect harmony with some caramel and honey hints. Almond notes from the wood ageing, enrich the aroma. The balance between the sugar and the acidity is excellent, leading to fresh and citric sensations on one side and the complexity of wines that have aged in barrel on the other. The final is persistent, fresh and complex.

This was our first Moscatel Colheita and also the first Moscatel from the Douro with this designation.

Winner of several international awards it's a reference within the fortified Moscatels.

In its creation we had in consideration the unique characteristics that the barrel ageing offers to the Douro fortified wines. The result is a wine with great complexity, but still very elegant, that developed a range of noble and attractive aromas. 

The 1996 is still in cask and is bottled only per order, assuring that it will not only be complex and elegant but also very fresh.
